Iran Rice Imports Down 4.21% (Mar-Oct 2018)

Rice Imports Top $670m in Four Months

EghtesadOnline: A total of 662,798 tons of wholly or semi-milled rice worth more than $674 million were imported into Iran during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22) to register a 2.8% and 11.9% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the corresponding period of last year, based on the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.

Decline in Rice Imports

EghtesadOnline: Around 379,000 tons of rice worth $375 million were imported during the first three months of the current year (March 21-June 21), showing 7.9% and 1.3% decrease in volume and value respectively compared with the corresponding period last year, latest figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
