Iran’s production of farmed shrimp is expected to increase by up to 20% in the three-month harvesting season that will end in late November.

EghtesadOnline: A total of $150 million worth of farmed shrimp have been exported from Iran since the beginning of the current Iranian year on March 21, 2021, an official with Iran’s Fisheries Organization said on Monday.

EghtesadOnline: A total of 21,767 tons of shrimps have been produced in Bushehr Province’s aquatic farms since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21), which shows a 5.36% decrease compared with the similar period of last year.

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s southern Bushehr Province has exported 14,000 tons of farmed shrimp worth $70 million since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2019), according to Qasem Qaedi, an official with Bushehr Governorate.
