EghtesadOnline: Iran’s biggest confectionery company, which is also one of the biggest in the Middle East, is planning to enter Qatar’s retail market.

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s confectionery industry has about 1,100 active production units, over 95% of which belong to the private sector.

EghtesadOnline: Close to 25,000 tons of confectionery, including sweets and chocolate, worth more than 2.47 trillion rials ($76.13 million) were exported from Iran to over 40 countries during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration announced.

EghtesadOnline: Iran exports about $600 million worth of confectionery annually, the chairman of Iran’s Biscuit, Confectionery and Chocolate Industries Association said.
