EghtesadOnline: In line with a plan to meet Iran's electricity demand in summer, which has soared to record-high levels in recent days, the country's power exports to neighboring states declined by 400 megawatts, a deputy energy minister said.

EghtesadOnline: In an effort to curtail electricity consumption and alleviate power demand that soared to record-high levels in recent days, Iran Power Generation, Distribution and Transmission Company (Tavanir) said it is charging consumers based on different consumption brackets, with the largest consumers charged up to three times the tariffs levied on regular users.

EghtesadOnline: The Energy Ministry says it is ready to withstand a higher electricity load and avoid outages as power demand nationwide soars during the hot summer season.
