EghtesadOnline: Around 39,446 tons of tea leaves were purchased by the government from local farmers at 964 billion rials ($22.95 million) during the spring harvest of the crop, registering a 6% decline compared with the similar period of last year, the head of Iran Tea Organization said.

EghtesadOnline: Spring tea harvest in Iran has ended with the production of 44,300 tons of fresh tea leaves worth more than 1 trillion rials (over $26.7 million), registering a 9% increase compared with last year’s output, the deputy head of Iran Tea Organization said.

EghtesadOnline: The government has bought some 28,000 tons of fresh tea leaves worth 650 billion rials ($17.3 million) from local farmers in northern Iran so far this year (started March 21), from which 6,300 tons of dried tea have been produced, the head of Iran Tea Organization said on Sunday.

EghtesadOnline: In the current tea harvest season, the government purchased more than 139,000 tons of fresh tea leaves, worth 2.34 trillion rials (close to $62 million), from farmers, of which 31,200 tons of dried tea have been produced this year (March 2016-17).
