EghtesadOnline: The Fifth International Exhibition of Nuts, Dried Fruits and Related Industries is scheduled to open early next year, gathering tens of production, processing and exporting companies in the field.

EghtesadOnline: More than 132,200 tons of different kinds of nuts worth over $351 million were exported from Iran during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a nearly 9% rise in weight and 19% fall in value compared with last year’s corresponding period.

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s pistachio accounts for $1.5 billion of a total of $2 billion worth of nuts exported from the country annually, said Asadollah Asgaroladi, a member of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and an exporter of nuts.

EghtesadOnline: Iran produces more than 1.18 million tons of different kinds of nuts every year, close to 800,000 tons of which are consumed domestically and the rest is exported, an official with the Ministry of Agriculture said.
