Conference held in Konya to introduce Iran market

EghtesadOnline: A conference to introduce Iran's market was held in Konya city, Turkey, participated by more than 300 Turkeish companies.

In the conference which was sponsored by Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM), Iranian and Turkish speakers underlined cooperation capacities between the two countries and the fact that economies of Iran and Turkey are complementary to each other, reports IRNA.

Iran's cultural attaché in Turkey Hamid Zadboum, as one of the speakers in the conference, called for joint venture projects between Turkey's businessmen with Iranian private sector in the fields of furniture, home appliances, auto spare parts, textile, and chemicals.

He asked Turkish businessmen to visit Iran to get acquainted with Iran's market closely.

Referring to preferential trade agreement between the two countries, which was executed in 2015, Zadboum said both countries intended to develop the agreement.

Member of Board of Directors of Iran-Turkey Businessmen Council Vahid Payman said that there is no commercial advertisement in both countries press and media and weakness of trade data and economic analyses about the two countries are noticeable.

He called the role of media and press in development of relations very important.

Deputy Head of TIM, head of Turkish side council of Iran-Turkey businessmen, former Turkey's commercial attaché in Iran, head of Iranian businessmen association residing in Istanbul, representative of Turkey's Khalq Bank as well as a few other Iranian related officials were among speakers in the conference.

All speakers underlined existing challenges, ways to pass obstacles and necessity to institutionalize relations between Iranian and Turkish producers and businessmen.
