Senior government aide deplores Saudi crimes in Yemen

EghtesadOnline: Presidential office deputy chief of staff for political affairs Hamid Aboutalebi said on Wednesday that Riyadh has to either admit defeat and stop its atrocities in Yemen or further sink into the quagmire of war crimes and face International Criminal Court.

Aboutalebi wrote the remarks in his personal Twitter page in response to a recent crime by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen and the apology letter of Saudi Arabia to the UN Security Council in this regard.

Feared by the accusations of war crimes and violation of all resolutions and international treaties and in order to escape from the consequences of its crimes and massacres, Saudi Arabia was finally forced to officially accept the responsibility of the recent attack in Yemen, Aboutalebi said.

In its letter to the UN Security Council, the Saudi government promised to probe into the violent attack and publicize the results of its investigations in the near future, according to IRNA.

In their latest crimes, the Saudi-led coalition fighter jets pounded the memorial service of the late father of the Yemeni interior minister on Saturday which left more than 700 casualties.
