Austrian bank plans to open branch in Iran

EghtesadOnline: Austrian ambassador to Iran has said one of the major Austrian banks aim to open a branch in Iran.

Friedrich Stift announced that one of the Austrian main banks “Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI)” plans to open a branch in Iran aiming to boost mutual trade cooperation between the two countries.

Austrian official’s remarks came on the sideline of a session held by the director of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization and the second president of the Austrian National Council, reports ISNA.

He stressed the importance of broadening trade ties between the two states, adding the trip made by the director of the Central Bank of Iran to Austria followed beneficial results for both sides.

During this meeting, Iranian official stated that the country is willing to develop its trade relations with Austria, noting technological and academic cooperation between the two countries in on the rise.

Both sides expressed hope that mutual cooperation in different sectors would increase.
