Later in 2014, the company launched the first 4G LTE network in several cities.

Irancell was also the first mobile operator to carry out 5G tests in Iran in September 2017.

The mobile operator has 33.2 million active users.

In a statement, the South African telecommunication group MTN thanked Dezfouli for his services and congratulated Abbasi on his appointment.
