EghtesadOnline: Head of the Strategic Research Center of Iran's Expediency Council has said Iran will spare no efforts to help Iraq as it has done so till now.

Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks here Monday evening in a meeting with visiting chairman of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim, IRNA reports.

Referring to recent victory over terrorist group of Daesh in Fallujah, Velayati hoped such victories would continue and Iraq would enjoy power and democracy in future.

Regarding its capacities, Iraq is undoubtedly the most important Arab country, Velayati stressed.

Certain foreign countries, the US in particular, were greedy for Iraq as the former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton has written in her book that US has created Daesh, said Velayati.

After recapturing Fallujah, all understood that Iraq has stood steadily and tested democracy successfully, he added.

He further predicted a bright future for the Iraqi nation and recapture of Iraqi Mosul in the next few months.

The senior Iranian official hoped Iraq would play an important role in issues related to Arab world and Islamic Ummah.

Some reactionary countries are concerned over establishment of democracy in Iraq because the issue may encourage other Arab nations not to accept the tribal governments, Velayati said.
