Official says vigilant marketing leads to convenient foreign trade
EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry Director General for Eastern Asia and the Pacific Mahmoud Barazandeh on Wednesday recommended provincial businessmen to consider different factors in marketing for convenient foreign trade.
According to IRNA, he made the remarks in a conference of West Azarbaijan economic activists with ambassadors from six countries of the eastern and southern Asia in Orumiyeh.
Considering Iran's unique position in transiting goods from East Asia to Europe, Barazandeh said that in spite of efforts of some countries to change the route of transit from Iran, this capacity should be used very well.
He evaluated position of West Azarbaijan province in transit of goods and development of foreign trade very good.
Ambassador of Philippines in Tehran Eduardo Martin Menez underlined necessity for more cooperation of the East Asian countries with West Azarbaijan province and said that the ambassadors are here to get acquainted with capacities of the province.
He added that six countries of China, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Brunei with more than two billion population are big enough capacity for absorbing investors and tourists for West Azarbaijan province.
Head of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture of West Azarbaijan Hassan Entezar presented a report on economic capacities and comparative advantages of the province.
The ambassadors of the six countries visited capacities of Maku Free Trade Zone on Monday and Tuesday and then visited industrial units of Orumiyeh on Wednesday.
