EghtesadOnline: Media in Turkey said more than 9,300 people were under investigation in connection with last week’s coup attempt to overthrow the Turkish government.

Separately, over 60 Cihan news agency employees were reported to have been suspended on suspicion of being involved with the failed insurrection, Sputnik reported.

Late on Friday, Turkish authorities said that an attempted coup took place in the country. The coup attempt was suppressed by early Saturday, with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim stating that all coup supporters were identified and would be apprehended as the country was returning to normal life.

Thousands of judiciary and senior civil service members have been removed from office in Turkey and thousands of military personnel were arrested.
