Professor Samiei wins Award of First World Muslim Women Summit

EghtesadOnline: Iranian world-famous neurologist Professor Majid Samiei grabbed the award of First World Muslim Women Summit in Malaysia.

The award was conferred on Professor Samiei by the First World Muslim Women Summit and First World Muslim Women Cultural Festival.

According to IRNA, Iran's Ambassador to Malaysia Marzieh Afkham received the award on behalf of Samiei who won it as the head of International Institute for Brain and Nervous System Studies.

Iran's Ambassador to Venezuela Mostafa Alaei attended the three-day event. 

He discussed the role of non-governmental organizations in the establishment of world order and peace in Muslim states in separate meetings with Tunisian, Pakistani, Turkish and Indonesian representatives.

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain was the special guest of the summit attended by 200 experts from Muslim and non-Muslim states.

The event brought together distinguished Muslim women form around the world to help empower women and strengthen unity among them and promote women's role to help restore peace in the world.

Meanwhile, the second World Muslim Women Summit is slated to be held in Turkey next year.
