Iran, Vietnam seeking better cooperation

EghtesadOnline: Visiting Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour in a meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Vu Hong Nam called for expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also called for expansion of mutual cooperation in all possible arenas. 

They also expressed their satisfaction over the increasing trend of mutual cooperation and delegation exchanges between the two countries, reports IRNA. 

The two officials also voiced their willingness to hold the ninth meeting of the Iran-Vietnam joint economic commission in Tehran in near future. 

The Iranian and Vietnamese officials also underscored that the meeting would pave the way for fostering cooperation in economic and investment sectors. 

The two sides also discussed the ways for expanding mutual relations in oil and gas, banking, transterritorial farming, communications and telecommunications, knowledge-based technologies, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical arenas.
