Supreme Leader: Western states have no determination to eradicate terrorism

EghtesadOnline: Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that the military coalition formed by the western states against terrorism have no determination to eradicate terrorism.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with Bosnia-Herzegovina chairman of Presidential Council Bakir Izetbegovic. 

Independent states should bolster their relations and avoid being impressed by the policies dictated by arrogant powers amid to extinguish fire of discord and conflicts, the Supreme Leader said. 

According to IRNA, the Supreme Leader expressed concern about waves of Takfiri and terrorism in Europe and the prediction that its status might become worse in the future.

The Supreme Leader said that the phenomenon has appeared in the Arab states but in fact the US administration and some of the European states are responsible for its formation, Ayatollah Khamenei said. 

Military coalition formed by western states against terrorism is unreal, the Supreme Leader said adding that although in some cases the coalition entered confrontation with the terrorists but they are not looking for eradication of terrorism in Iraq and Syria. 

The Supreme Leader deplored the fact that ill-wishes increase sufferings of human beings day by day. 

Humiliation of the Muslim youth in some of the wealthy and powerful countries in Europe, has prepared the ground to join the deviated groups such as Daesh and that the humiliated youth operating in the Arab states perpetrate carnage and explosions when they go back to Europe, the Supreme Leader said. 

Tranquility and security are pre-requisite for economic development and progress of every nation, the Supreme Leader said. 

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to broaden cooperation with the Bosnia and Herzegovina government on political and economic fields as well as cooperation at global forums, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

President Hassan Rouhani was also present in the meeting. 

Bosnia-Herzegovina chairman of Presidential Council Bakir Izetbegovic, for his part expressed pleasure with his visit to Tehran, saying that he held fruitful negotiations with Iranian officials.

He hoped that amicable ties between the two countries would lead to impressive economic cooperation between the two countries. 

Bosnia and Herzegovina is to broaden and bolster relations with other Islamic states, he said adding that the issue of terrorism requires collective contribution as the dangerous phenomenon has ignited attacks to mosques and assassination of innocent people and there is no doubt that all outstanding figures in Bosnian and Herzegovina are serious in fight with Takfiri groups. 

Fostering Islamic unity is a duty on the shoulders of all Muslims and any discord will weaken the status of Islamic states, president Izetbegovic said.
