EghtesadOnline: Turkish President expressed his country’s readiness to conduct trade with Iran with local currencies.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey is ready to open trade with Iran, Russia and China with local currencies, as he continues his efforts to strengthen the falling lira, according to ISNA.

He stated, "If we buy something from them, we will use their money, if they buy something from us, they will use our currency.”

Erdogan has called on its people to convert their foreign exchange into gold or the Turkish Lira, urging them to buy lira to stem the Turkish currency's decline.
