Oil exporting countries deem Iran's economy as significant
EghtesadOnline: Iran’s economy has a special place among oil exporting countries, said Iran's ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Mahmoud Heidari on Wednesday.
“Iran is on the top rank of gas reserves and the fourth rank of oil reserves in the world,” said Heidari in an interview with ONASA news agency while stressing the importance of last December oil deal between Iran and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), according to IRNA.
“Iran is after the exploitation of its huge gas reserves after JCPOA in order to be a major gas exporter in the world,” he said.
Four million barrels per day was Iran’s share of crude oil production before the imposed sanctions, but OPEC agreed upon Iran’s production of 3.9 million barrels per day and they proved to be influential in complex situations, he further added.
He also pointed to Iran’s policy towards Palestine with reference to the Supreme Leader’s remarks about resolving Palestine issue which consists of two stages: first, the return of all Palestinians to Palestine and the second, holding a referendum with all the ethnicities involved about the future of Palestine.
“Islamic Republic of Iran has always warned that the instrumental use of terrorist groups in the Middle east will result in catasrophic consequences for the whole world,” said Heidari, stressing on Iran’s role on fight against terrorism.
Balkan countries require stability and development and this is achieved only through cooperation between the countries here and it is in line with Iran's policy towards Balkans which backs peace, stability and development in the region, he added.
