Seven Iranian, foreign researchers receive Ferdowsi decoration
EghtesadOnline: Seven Iranian and foreign researchers of Ferdowsi, Iran’s epic poet, and his epic poem book ‘Shahnameh’ (the book of king) and authors of master works in this concern in a ceremony received Ferdowsi prize on Monday.
Ferdowsi Art-Cultural emblems granted to Dr. Ali Ravaqi, Dr. Hassan Anvari, Dr. Abdul Ghafur Arezzo from Afghanistan, Dr. Nemat Yildrim from Turkey, Dr. Ali Ashraf Sadeqi from Iran, Dr. Alim Ashraf Khan from India and master Shahram Nazeri, a well- known Iranian musician, IRNA reported.
Khorasan Razavi Governor General Ali Reza Rashidian and ambassadors from several countries and civil and military officials were attending the ceremony in Mashad Ferdowsi University.
Memorial stamp to commemorate Ferdowsi was also unveiled in the ceremony.
May 15 is the national day to commemorate Ferdowsi.
Abolqasim Ferdowsi Tusi (940-1020 AD) the greatest Iranian epic poet with his novel book of Shahnameh, which was composed in 977 to 1010 AD.
