Billet Prices Rise in UAE on Iran Offers
EghtesadOnline: The price of billet imports into the UAE increased this week due to high offers from Iran. Iran offered billet to the southern Persian Gulf state at $400-410 per ton CFR.
Unconfirmed offers at $385-390 per ton CFR were also heard, Metal Bulletin reported. No major deals were heard, however, because of the slowdown in the country as the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan will start in less than a week’s time. Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for UAE billet imports was $400-410 per ton CFR on Tuesday, widening upward from $400-401 per ton CFR, according to Financial Tribune.
