Iran export destinations up from 14 to 20 countries: Official

EghtesadOnline: Under the government of President Hassan Rouhani Iran successfully increased its export destinations from 14 countries in 2013 to 20 in 2017, the director general of Statistics and Data Processing Office in the Iranian Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

'The government of hope and prudence has managed to turn countries in Europe into export destinations of the Iranian commodities,' said Mehdi Niyazi Tuesday evening during a meeting with members of the Parliamentary Committee on Industries and Mines, referring to the government of President Rouhani.

Niyazi said that during past four years, 117 cooperation documents have been signed with world's reputable companies, 63 of which are being implemented, IRNA reported.

The signing of these documents constitutes the most important achievement made by the government of hope and prudence in the area foreign investment, he said.

“It is estimated that the value of Iran’s industrial and mineral exports hits $61 billion in the current year, compared to $32 billion in 2013,” the official added.
