Astara exports trout to Russia

EghtesadOnline: Head of Veterinary Network of Astara city Bahram Pour-Zarb announced on Tuesday that 18,500 kilograms trout worth around 90,000 dollars have been exported from this border point to Russia.

He said that trout were from Sanandaj, capital of Kordestan province, and had authorization of Kordestan Veterinary Department and were exported by supervision of Astara Veterinary Network.

According to IRNA, Pour-Zarb reminded that 108 tons of trout has been exported from Astara to Russia, before.

Astara is located in far west of Northern Province of Gilan and has common border with Azerbaijan Republic.
