Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Pakistan Tops $500m

EghtesadOnline: Iran traded 1.02 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $504.48 million with Pakistan during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22).

This marks a 25.13% and 24.17% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s latest data indicate.

Iran’s exports to Pakistan stood at 899,221 million tons worth $379.91 million, up 38.36% and 12.82% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.

Pakistan was Iran’s eighth-biggest export destination during the period. Iran mainly exported bitumen, oil gases, hydrocarbons and liquefied propane to Pakistan during the four-month period, according to Financial Tribune.

Pakistan exported 124,499 tons of goods worth $124.56 million to Iran, down 32% and 31.15% in tonnage and value respectively YOY.

Pakistan was the 21st major exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. Imports mainly included semi-milled rice, pear, mango and sesame seeds.
