89,515 Jobs Landed via Employment Agencies
EghtesadOnline: A total of 391,280 people registered with private- and state-run employment agencies in the last Iranian year (March 2019-20), of whom 89,515 managed to land a job.
367,616 people who signed up with 955 private-run recruitment agencies, 21% or 77,199 were employed.
Out of 23,664 job seekers who registered with 58 government-run staffing agencies, 52.04% or 12,316 found jobs.
Of the 955 private-run recruitment agencies, 818 were recruiting workers for local jobs and 137 for overseas jobs, IRNA reported.
Staffing agencies in Tehran and Khorasan Razavi provinces had the highest number of registered job seekers with 94,811 and 44,494, respectively.
An employment agency matches employers with employees. In all developed countries, there is a publicly-funded employment agency and multiple private businesses that act as employment agencies.
