TCCIM Organizes Webinar, Four Business Courses

EghtesadOnline: The Education and Human Resources Institute, affiliated with the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, is scheduled to hold a webinar on investment and four courses on legal cases, international business transportation, imports and exports.

The webinar titled “Joint Venture and Investments in State-Owned Projects” is scheduled for Feb. 21 from 3-6 p.m. It will cover topics such as joint venture contracts, contract terms and layout, how to allocate project revenues, company shareholders’ contracts, dispute management in joint venture contracts, how to invest in state-owned projects, requirements for cooperation with Iran’s public sector, introduction to tender regulations, selection of investors and capital return guarantees, the news portal of TCCIM reported.  

The course titled "Managing Legal Cases” is scheduled to run for nine hours starting Feb. 7. The classes are being held on Sundays and Tuesdays from 3-6 p.m. Topics to be covered during this course include how to determine the type of case, competent adjudicators, legal documents and how to prepare such documents and defend a case. 

The institute will also organize a course titled “International Transportation Exports”. It is scheduled to begin on Feb. 9 and classes will be held online on Tuesdays from 3-7 p.m. A wide range of topics, including marine, road, air and rail transportation, the difference between forwarders and carriers, the roles played by principals and agents, CMR, TIR, The Hague and Hague-Visby transportation conventions and related regulations, responsibilities of transportation officials, commercial documents, transportation of dangerous goods and different kinds of packaging, will be covered during this course.

Another course titled "Comprehensive Import Course” is scheduled to begin on Feb 13. It will be held online and in class simultaneously from 3-7 p.m. Topics to be covered include different types of imports, what to do before order placement, pro forma invoice and the need to mention requested standards, seller ID, technical permits, import commodity categories, introduction to different kinds of import permits, wire transfers, bills of exchange and how to receive foreign exchange from the Central Bank of Iran.

The fourth course titled "Training Export Experts” is scheduled to be held online starting Feb. 14. Classes will be held from 3-7 p.m. The course will cover topics such as designing commercial plans, export procedures, displaying products in international exhibitions at the least expense, export regulations, standards of Iran and those of export destinations, the correct ways of pricing export goods, how to use export banking facilities, how to select the best product or service for exports, ways of preventing fraud in exports, choosing export destinations, Incoterms 2020 (world’s essential terms of trade) and the role it plays in exports, the use of advertising modes in different countries, customs regulations and clearance procedures.
