President Raeisi made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Tajik counterpart in Tashkent on Wednesday.

The Islamic Republic has made considerable progress in various fields, especially in science and technology despite threats and sanctions, he said.

He went on to say that the Iranian nation has turned the sanctions into opportunities.

Pointing to capacities and experiences in energy, agriculture, industry, and mines, Raeisi voiced Iran’s readiness to share the experiences with Tajikistan.

Inking bilateral documents between Iran and Tajikistan will enhance the level of cooperation, the Tajik president noted.

He further underlined that historical common ground would further expand cooperation between the two countries.

It is scheduled to sign several cooperation documents in various economic, commercial, industrial, transportation and transit, railways, energy, the establishment of the joint free zone, customs, cultural and scientific fields, modern technologies, sports, crisis management, and counter-narcotics. / MEHR
