Mine Collapse in Mahabad Claims One Life

The head of the West Azerbaijan Emergency Services reported that a barite mine collapsed in the village of Abdullahabad, Mahabad, resulting in one fatality.

Farzin Rezazadeh, in an interview with ISNA, provided details about the incident, stating that at 9:25 AM today, April 6, following an emergency call, two ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

He added that after a rescue operation, a man approximately 55 years old was extracted from the rubble, and emergency personnel confirmed his death.
