TEHRAN, May 06 (MNA) – Media sources reported on Tuesday that the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed various issues, including Iran-US talks over the phone.

EghtesadOnline: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday discussed the progress talks between Iran and the United States with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Kremlin said.

Putin said Russia is ready to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the US to reach a "fair agreement."

They also discussed bilateral relations, including the development of major energy projects, the Kremlin said.

In this conversation, Pezeshkian and Putin considered the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the two countries a clear sign of the depth of relations between Tehran and Moscow and a turning point in strengthening political, economic, trade and security cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, and emphasized the determination and will of the high-ranking officials of the two countries to fully implement this agreement.

In this telephone conversation, the Russian President expressed regret over the explosion in Shahid Rajaee Port and offered condolences to the government and people of Iran for the loss of a number of Iranian compatriots. The President of Iran also appreciated the Russian government's expression of sympathy and its participation in the firefighting operations in this incident.
