Iran Condemns Israeli Strikes on Yemen

The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s military attacks against Yemen.
In a statement released on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the Israeli attacks on Yemen’s Hudaydah, Ras-Isa, as-Salif and a power station in Ras al-Kathib.
The Iranian spokesman denounced the recurrent Israeli attacks on Yemen’s economic and public infrastructures, including its airports, ports, power plants and food storage facilities as a flagrant crime against the Yemeni people.
Baqaei called for an end to the United Nations Security Council’s inaction on the Israeli atrocities against Yemen.
He described the impunity of the Zionist regime under the support provided by the US and a number of other Western states as the root cause of the continued Israeli crimes and acts of aggression against the regional countries.
Baqaei also reminded all regional and world governments of their legal and moral responsibility to counter the genocidal crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories and punish the Israeli officials for committing heinous crimes.
The Israeli regime on Sunday struck the ports of Hudaydah, Ras-Isa and as-Salif on the Red Sea coast as well as the Ras al-Kathib power plant.
The Israeli attacks were the first on Yemen in almost a month and came after the Zionist regime’s military claimed that it intercepted a missile fired by the Yemeni forces in the early hours of the day./tasnim
