Araqchi: Diplomacy Draws Strength from Military Power
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that Iran’s security rests on its national strength and armed forces, noting that diplomacy derives its power from the country’s defense capabilities.
In comments at a meeting with the Friday prayers leader of Tabriz during a visit to the East Azarbaijan Province on Thursday, Araqchi highlighted the pivotal role of Iran’s armed forces in preserving national sovereignty.
“What protects the country is its national power and the strength of its armed forces,” he said, noting that Iranian diplomats operate in international arenas with confidence drawn from that strength.
Araqchi underscored that diplomacy itself is a vital part of the country’s defensive power structure.
“We have witnessed that whenever the military and diplomatic fields move in the same direction, they effectively halt the enemies’ advances,” the foreign minister said.
His remarks come amid renewed emphasis on integrating Iran’s defense capabilities with its diplomatic initiatives to strengthen the country’s position on the global stage./tasnim
