Iran Rejects US Claims of Arms Shipment to Yemen

Iran has categorically rejected US claims that Tehran has sent military shipments to Yemen, calling the accusations baseless and part of a coordinated media campaign against the Islamic Republic.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei on Thursday dismissed the repeated US allegations as fabricated pretexts aimed at distorting Iran’s image and deflecting attention from American complicity in regional crises.
He stressed that the United States bears direct responsibility for the ongoing crimes and wars initiated by the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine and across the region.
Baqaei said the US administration, by echoing these unsubstantiated accusations, seeks to legitimize its destabilizing actions and extend its military footprint under false pretenses, alongside the Zionist regime.
He emphasized that the Israeli regime, armed with lethal American weapons and backed by comprehensive US political and media support, has escalated its genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.
Simultaneously, Baqaei noted, Tel Aviv continues its repeated violations of Syria’s and Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty through direct military aggression.
“In such a context, the recent US narrative about seizing an arms shipment allegedly bound for Yemen is nothing but a deceitful attempt to distract global attention from the root cause of regional insecurity — the Zionist regime’s aggression and America’s destructive interference,” he concluded./tasnim
