Iran's Deterrence Power Complete, Top General Says

Iran’s top military commander declared the country's deterrence capability “complete”, warning of a crushing response to any future aggression and reaffirming Tehran’s resolve to maintain regional peace through unity and strength.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said Thursday that the Islamic Republic enjoys full deterrent power against its enemies.
He made the remarks during a ceremony marking 40 days since the martyrdom of several Iranian commanders killed in the Israeli-US attacks in June.
“The deterrence power of the Islamic Republic of Iran is complete,” General Mousavi said.
“As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has stated, the Iranian nation is well-equipped both for negotiations and for defense.”
He praised the Iranian people’s resilience in the face of a complex hybrid war.
“In this battlefield, the Iranian nation is the pillar of national strength. Your patience, unity, solidarity, and resistance are the key to overcoming crises. Every Iranian home is the frontline of resistance, and each family a trench against enemy aggression,” he said.
General Mousavi warned that any new aggression would be met with a decisive and unprecedented response.
He reiterated that Iran’s message to the region is peace and stability.
“Iran is determined to build lasting security through cooperation with neighboring countries and will not allow the Zionist regime to push its expansionist agenda through sedition,” he said.
He described national cohesion as a divine trust, calling it a unique asset that must be strengthened.
“The great Iranian nation, despite all challenges, will never allow enemies to violate its Islamic and national identity,” he said.
The general commemorated the country’s martyrs—including those of the Sacred Defense, resistance commanders, committed scientists, and civilians—pledging to continue their path with greater strength.
Mousavi said the martyrdom of Iranian commanders, scientists, and others during the June conflict had reinforced national unity and amplified the public’s resilience.
“The enemies do not realize that if any aggressor steps on this soil, Iranians—regardless of belief—will stand united,” he said.
General Mousavi also said that Israel’s ultimate goal is to drag Iran into war and internal unrest.
“The child-killing Zionist regime has no future,” he added.
“It is a brake-less vehicle heading toward destruction, displaying only anxiety and collapse.”
He warned US and Western officials against sacrificing their own countries' future to preserve Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political position.
“Iranians will never forget the wounds caused by America’s crimes and betrayal,” he said.
“Future generations will cry out for justice.”
On June 13, Israel launched a military attack against Iran, sparking a 12-day war that left more than 1,064 people dead.
The United States joined the conflict by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites, in a grave violation of international law.
Iran responded by targeting strategic locations in the occupied territories and the US al-Undead base in Qatar, the largest American installation in West Asia.
