Iranian General Warns Israel’s Backers of Response to Any Aggression

The commander of Iran’s Basij (mobilization) Force warned that Tehran’s response to any new act of aggression will not be limited to the Zionist regime itself, but will also target its sponsors who will be held to account this time.
Speaking at an event in Mashhad on Sunday, Brigadier General Gholam Reza Soleimani cautioned that any renewed act of aggression against Iran would trigger retaliation not only against the Zionists but also against their backers.
He underlined that Iran has precise intelligence about the enemy’s vulnerabilities and monitors developments “in every square meter” of the occupied territories.
The general revealed that during the 12-day war in June, many countries were involved in shielding the Zionist regime from Iran’s counterattacks. Referring to the brutal campaign against Gaza, he said Israel’s sponsors have provided the regime with thousands of tons of bombs and explosives used against the defenseless population.
“But this time the situation will be different,” General Soleimani warned.
He explained that Iran’s retaliatory strikes during the June war destroyed 21 vital and strategic sites belonging to the Zionist regime. The general added that Iran maintains a databank of Israeli targets and managed to strike them with new-generation missiles boasting a margin of error of less than one meter.
On June 13, the Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. The United States later escalated the conflict by striking three of Iran’s nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.
Iran’s Armed Forces delivered an immediate and forceful response. The IRGC Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes under Operation True Promise III, inflicting significant damage and heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
In retaliation for the US attacks, Iranian forces also targeted al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar —the largest American military installation in West Asia— with a barrage of missiles.
The confrontation came to an end on June 24, when a ceasefire was enforced./tasnim
