Iran, Qatar Urge Concerted Muslim Action against Israel

The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar called for collective action by Muslim nations against the Zionist regime’s crimes.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a meeting in Doha on Sunday on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Araqchi reaffirmed Tehran’s firm and principled stance in condemnation of the Israeli regime’s military assault on Qatar, stressing the urgent need for effective and united measures by the Islamic world to confront the regime’s warmongering, stop the genocide in Gaza, and prosecute the leaders of the Zionist regime.
The Qatari foreign minister, for his part, praised Iran’s principled and brotherly position in supporting the Qatari people and government.
He emphasized the necessity of intensified and all-out efforts by the Islamic and Arab countries to aid the oppressed Palestinian nation and counter Israel’s dangerous expansionist agenda in the region.
The two diplomats also exchanged views on Iran-Qatar bilateral relations as well as international developments, including the nuclear issue and Iran’s continued responsible diplomatic efforts./tasnim
