Constructing Shalamcheh-Basra railway to be finished next yr

The chief executive of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, also known as RAI, has said the construction operation of Shalamcheh-Basra Railway will be complected before the termination of Arbaeen rituals of next year in 2026.

Jabbar Ali Zakeri, who is also the deputy minister of roads and urban development, pointed to the three main duties of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways in completion of construction operation of Shalamcheh-Basra Railway, emphasizing that industrious manpower and engineers at the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development are making their utmost efforts to complete construction operation of this railway project within the next six months.

The CEO of RAI pointed to the commissioning of Tehran-Ankara train, adding that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked with the Turkish railway company but the problem is related to the Turkish side on Van Lake./mehr
