Qatar says is in contact with Iran and US to resolve disputes

A spokesperson for Qatar’s foreign ministry says Doha is in contact with both Iran and the United States to reduce regional tensions and resolve the disputes between Tehran and Washington.

Majed Al-Ansari said on Tuesday that Qatar is among the parties that is contacting other parties in order to reduce regional tensions and settle the disputes between the Islamic republic of Iran and the United States.

He added that diplomacy is an effective and constructive way to resolve the current disputes in the region.

“We rely on this diplomatic approach with our partners and neighbors,” the spokesperson reiterated./irna
