Efforts focused on preventing danger of war: Administration spokesperson

Administration spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani says all sections of the government are focused on keeping Iran away from the danger of war and countering plans, which under the guise of development, aim to weaken and fragment the country.

Speaking at her weekly press briefing in Tehran on Tuesday, Mohajerani stressed that authorities are working to steer the atmosphere toward calm despite social tensions and what she described as unprecedented external threats.

She added that governing institutions and elites must take these sensitive conditions into careful consideration.

Administration ready to hear students’ voices

Turning to recent protests by university students, the spokesperson said the administration recognizes students’ right to protest, describing them as active and aware members of society. However, she emphasized that certain “red lines,” including respect for religious sanctities and the national flag, must be observed even in times of anger.

Mohajerani underlined that the correct path forward lies in constructive dialogue and rationality rather than confrontation. She thanked the ministers of science and health, as well as university presidents and faculty members, for their patience and efforts in facilitating the reopening of universities.

“We believe that neither should the pursuit of science be halted nor should the voices of protesters go unheard,” she said, announcing the administration’s full readiness to engage directly with students on campuses.
