Iranian armed forces fully prepared amid diplomatic efforts: Government spox

Government Spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani says Iran will continue diplomatic efforts to secure national interests while the armed forces also remain in full preparedness and the people rally in the streets to show their support for the armed forces.

Speaking during a televised speech on Sunday, Mohajerani said that Iran will not cease to engage in diplomacy and the diplomatic apparatus of the country will continue its work to maintain and protect national interests.

Iran has been the triumphant side in the battlefield for clear reasons, the spokesperson said, arguing that the country refused to bow before the most powerful military of the world.

She added that plans for regime change in Iran were turned into change in the regime of governance over the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran emerging as the governing power over the strategic waterway. /irna
