IRGC Navy: US Bases in Region Will Face ‘Hell’
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy issued a strong warning to the US, stressing that continued hostile actions in the region will be met with decisive retaliation and that American bases in the region will “experience hell.”
In a post published on social media on Sunday, the IRGC Navy Command said, “Blind American firing toward Sirik does not solve the mystery of our dominance over the Strait (of Hormuz), but our firing at violators reminds the remaining vessels of the clear path for passage.”
“The account of American bases in the region is separate; they will experience hell in these days,” the IRGC Navy warned.
The warning came amid heightened tensions following renewed US aggression against Iranian territory and maritime security arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, the IRGC announced that its Navy and Aerospace Force carried out a coordinated missile and drone operation between 2:00 and 3:00 am on June 28 in response to US actions.
According to the statement, the operation targeted “eight important infrastructures of the US child-killing army” at the Ali al-Salem Airbase in Kuwait and the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Port Salman, Bahrain.
The IRGC said the latest escalation followed US strikes against five coastal outposts of the Islamic Republic, which Washington claimed were linked to the interception of a commercial oil tanker. Tehran, however, stressed that its actions were taken under its responsibility for managing maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz under existing understandings.
The IRGC further warned that repeated violations would lead to stronger enforcement measures, adding that any breach of agreed maritime arrangements would halt relevant processes.
It also said the US had violated key provisions of existing understandings and warned that continued aggression would expand the scope of Iran’s response./tasnim
