Kazem Gharibabadi, the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s legal and international affairs deputy, wrote on X, “The Strait of Hormuz is not a military demonstration field for trans-regional powers.”
He added, “Iran, as a responsible power and guarantor of the security of the Strait, warns against any military movement in this sensitive waterway.”
Gharibabadi emphasized that the security of Hormuz lies with the coastal states, adding, “crisis-makers will be responsible for the consequences of their adventurism. This is a serious warning.”
Earlier, in an interventionist statement, France and Britain claimed that they are ready for joint military operations to ensure the safety of ships in the Strait of Hormuz if necessary.
