Eslami: No pressure can extinguish movement born of Iranian people’s faith

Mohammad Eslami, vice president and head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, said Monday that no pressure could extinguish the movement born of the Iranian people’s faith, speaking on the sidelines of the funeral procession for the martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution.

News ID: 2003514

Eslami joined the vast crowds of Iranians at the funeral processions for the martyred Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and for members of his family who were also martyred in a savage US-Israeli terror attack late in February.

He said Imam Khamenei had attained his long-held wish, that of martyrdom.

He added that the Iranian people must understand that his teachings will continue to bring growing honor to Iran and the Islamic Revolution.

He said the Islamic nation, through a full understanding of Imam Khamenei’s guidance, will continue on the path the martyred Leader charted with faith, and that Iran will move forward stronger than before.

Eslami noted that the Iranian people have consistently turned out for such occasions, and that today, amid tears and grief, they raised chants demanding retribution for the martyred Leader.

He said the presence of millions at the ceremony represented a renewed pledge of allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and its martyred Leader.

He added that no outside pressure or war could extinguish this movement, since it draws its strength from faith and divine support and would grow stronger and more widespread over time./irna
