Official: Iran to increase exports by $10bn
EghtesadOnline: Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Reza Rahmani the value of Iran’s export of goods to other countries will increase by $10 billion in the current Iranian year as compared with the previous year.
“The volume of Iran’s export of goods to other countries will increase as its value will be increased by $10 billion,” Rahmani said on the sidelines of a ceremony to honor the industrialists, miners, and superior guilds of Zanjan province on Thursday.
In March 2015, President Hassan Rouhani underscored that economic growth, including increased non-oil exports and creation of new jobs, will be high on the agenda of his government, according to IRNA.
President Rouhani set sustainable prosperity, growing non-oil exports and generating new job opportunities as three goals of his administration in the new Iranian year.
He said his government will focus on these three goals, specially creation of jobs for the younger generation.
He said encouraged by public support he is determined to take new steps to enhance the country’s non-oil exports and create new employment opportunities.
