NISOC salty oil refining capacity doubles
EghtesadOnline: Managing Director of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Bijan Alipour says the desalination unit of Rag-Sefid 1 has put into operation and the salty oil refining capacity has doubled.
Alipour said that with dispatch of salty oil to the electric desalination system, the unit with 55,000 barrels capacity in Rag-Sefid 1 started operation.
He noted that the HSE and environment protection studies had started before operation of the facilities.
According to IRNA, he noted that completion and operation of the project raised the salty oil refining capacity of Rag-Sefid and Ramshir fields to 110,000 bpd from 55,000 bpd.
He went on to say that while leaving positive impact on quality of the output, operation of the unit will push up the crude production of the NISOC as much as about 25,000 bpd.
