Rouhani: Expanding ties with African countries at top of Iran’s foreign policy

EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani said expanding relations with African countries tops the priorities of the Iranian foreign policy.
The president made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Foreign Minister of the Ivory Coast Abdallah Albert Toikeusse Mabri.
During the meeting, the president voiced happiness over the growing ties between the two countries and said the extensive potential now existing for expansion of relations should be well implemented.
According to IRNA, he also highlighted the importance of more activities by the two countries’ private sectors.
President Rouhani further urged cooperation among all countries in countering the big threat of terrorism.
Mabri hailed Iran’s support for this country both in economic and political areas and voiced his country’s will to boost ties with Iran.
He also underscored the need for all countries to join efforts in fighting terrorism and said prosperity for countries will come only through peace and security.
