Iran, Netherlands boost cooperation in water management

EghtesadOnline: Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian, in a meeting with his Dutch counterpart, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to boost cooperation in solar energy as well as water resources management.

Iranian official stated that the former meetings and talks between the officials of both sides have paved the ground for inking MoUs in various sectors including water management, reports ISNA.

Both countries have held numerous talks aiming to boost mutual ties and cooperation in different areas and in this regard Iran-Netherlands Trade and Culture Center was officially inaugurated in Hague recently.

Chitchian underlined that Netherlands possesses high-tech machines dealing with water as it is a country with a lot of water resources.

Iranian Ambassador to Netherlands Ali-Reza Jahangiri had said earlier that there is no limitation in developing bilateral ties between Iran and Netherlands in economy, diplomacy and culture.

He said that opening the center is a giant step in boosting bilateral ties and could be regarded as an initiative for future cooperation with Netherlands and other EU members.
