WCO: Iran safest country in region for tourists
EghtesadOnline: President of the World Cities Organization (WCO) Young Hoon Kwaak said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran with reliance on its powerful army, people and rich culture is regarded as the safest country in the region for foreign tourists.
Speaking in the hall of Semnan municipality, he said the city of Semnan is among cities being nominated to host mayors of the Silk Road in the year 2019.
Media persons and the press can play a very effective role in introducing the tourist attractions in the city to the world public opinion, he said.
