Russia says informed Iran of US suggestion on Syria

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari here in Tehran.

Both sides discussed the latest developments in Syria and stressed the necessity of holding talks more often, ISNA reported.

Putin’s especial envoy on Syria said Iran, Russian officials need to hold meeting more often, adding the leaders of both countries are willing to expand mutual ties.

Iranian official, for his part, stated that regional issues as well as bilateral relations were the core subjects of the meeting.
