Iran faithful to its commitments: Senior lawmaker
EghtesadOnline: A senior lawmaker said that visits to the nuclear sites will continue as the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission is to present its second report on the process of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), stressing Iran is faithful to its commitments.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Chairman of the Commission, told IRNA here Wednesday that the members of the Majlis special committee on supervising implementation of the JCPOA have confirmed that what is happening in Fordo site in Qom, near Tehran, is in line with fulfillment of Iran's commitments to the July 2015 deal.
The members of the committee visited Fordo on December 12, IRNA reported.
Boroujerdi stressed that those visits to the nuclear sites will continue.
Turning to the issue of Syrian government's victory in Aleppo, Boroujerdi said the louder voice of resistance will be heard in the region.
The senior lawmaker described the liberation of Aleppo as an important event, a battle of years between the US and its European and regional allies, on one hand, and the pro-resistance countries including Iran and Syria and two members of the UN Security Council of Russia and China, on the other.
As Boroujerdi said, the outcome of that battle has brought failure to the US and its policies on the region.
Boroujerdi then described liberation of Aleppo as a very important development as Aleppo in Syria and Mosul in Iraq were the centers for the terrorist group of Daesh to expand the sinister phenomenon of terrorism.
Mosul liberation operation was launched on October 17. Recently, the Iraqi forces have achieved several victories in fight against terrorists in Mosul.
