Rouhani: Moderation is Ayat. Rafsanjani's legacy
EghtesadOnline: President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday that the path of moderation in resolving the country's problems is the legacy of the late Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, the Expediency Council Chairman.
Addressing tens of foreign and domestic reporters in a press conference on Tuesday on the one-year anniversary of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), President Rouhani thanked the Iranian nation for massive turnout in funeral procession of Ayatollah Rafsanjani, IRNA reported.
The JCPOA was agreed between Iran and the G5+1 (The US, the UK, Russia, China, France and Germany) in July 2015. It was later implemented on January 16, 2016.
President Rouhani said the late Ayatollah Rafsanjani played significant role in the triumph of the Islamic Revolution as well as the country's developments.
Late Ayatollah Rafsanjani adopted moderation, wisdom, patience in dealing with the country's problems, President Rouhani said.
'In the absence of this great man, we should take advantage of his advices, written and voice messages,' he said.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani died on January 8 at the age of 82 due to a cardiac arrest in a hospital north of Tehran.
Rafsanjani, a veteran cleric, a pillar of the Islamic Revolution and a leading politician served in different positions after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
