Millions of Iranians across the country took to streets on Friday to participate in 22nd Bahman demonstration and celebrate 38th years of independence and Islamic governance.

These people gathered to commemorate the day in February 1979 when the US-backed Pahlavi regime was ousted, ISNA reported.

Similar to every year, Iranians on Friday, February 10 (22 Bahman) staged a massive rally nation-wide. Along with ordinary people, religious, political and artistic features participated in the rally.

More than 6000 journalists and photographers cover these great and glorious demonstrations which 250 of them are foreign reporters.

Each year in Iran, this victory is commemorated from February 1 to February 11, which is better known as Daheye Fajr or “Ten Days of Dawn,” a period that celebrates Iran’s notion of “independence” from Western influence and foreign dominance.

22nd Bahman demonstration in Tehran began on 9 a.m. local time and participants are moving toward freedom square where Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will deliver a speech.
